  • How long does each therapy session last, and how often should I attend?
Individual therapy sessions typically last 53 minutes. As your therapist, I will manage the session timing to ensure we make the most of our time together. Initially, I recommend weekly sessions for the first two months to establish a solid foundation for our work. However, I recognize that each person's circumstances—such as time availability, financial considerations, and preferred frequency—vary. Therefore, I'm flexible in collaborating with you to develop a treatment plan that accommodates your unique needs and supports your therapeutic goals.
  • How can I schedule my first therapy session with you?
Booking your first therapy session is straightforward and flexible. Simply call, text, or email me to find a time that works best for you. Once we've scheduled your appointment, I will send you the necessary paperwork to complete before we meet. I'm here to make the process as smooth and comfortable for you as possible, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance. (385)289-0693 dr.alidoman@gmail.com
  • What are your fees and do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept insurance. I am currently paneled with Select Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum, and I am in the process of adding PEHP. If you have not met your deductible, you will be responsible for covering a portion of the session fee. Once your deductible is met, your copay will typically range from $0 to $30. For those not using insurance, I offer an out-of-pocket fee of $150 per session. Additionally, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan’s coverage. Here’s a breakdown of the fees with insurance: Initial Assessment/First Session: $185 Subsequent Sessions: $175 Insurance details can be complex, but I'm here to help clarify any questions you have about these costs and ensure you understand what you might expect to pay, even before your deductible is met.
  • What can I expect from a therapy session?
Initial Sessions (1-3): During your first few visits, our main focus will be on getting to know each other. You’ll share your story, and together we’ll determine if we’re a good fit. We’ll also set goals and start to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Building a strong rapport is essential for effective therapy, and it sets the foundation for your progress. The Treatment Phase: After these initial sessions, we’ll begin actively working on your treatment goals. The approach we take will depend on the challenges you're facing and the therapeutic techniques that are best suited to your situation. In these sessions, you’ll work on gaining new insights, learning practical skills, and expressing your emotions. These activities are designed to help you make and see progress towards long-term change. I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way, but your own commitment to applying what you learn outside of our sessions is crucial to your success.
  • What is Your Experience Working with the LGBTQIA+ Community?
My engagement with the LGBTQIA+ community began during my internship in 2019 at BYU's counseling center, where I gained valuable insight into the interplay between faith and sexuality. This experience equipped me to understand the complex dynamics faced by individuals from religious backgrounds that may not align with their identity. Following my time at BYU, I spent two years at Flourish Therapy, a practice dedicated exclusively to serving the LGBTQIA+ community. These roles have provided me with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and journeys within the LGBTQIA+ community, especially in Utah. I am committed to creating a supportive space that respects and nurtures your individual exploration of identity, whether you are firmly established in your understanding or are just beginning to explore.
  • Can you tell me about your professional background and areas of expertise?
I hold a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, which I completed in 2019. Following my graduation, I undertook a ten-month postdoctoral specialization in eating disorders at the University of Nevada-Reno. My commitment to diverse communities guided me to Flourish Therapy, where I provided dedicated support to the LGBTQIA+ community. More recently, I have been serving as a therapist at the Center for Change, focusing on eating disorder treatments for the past year and a half. In addition to my specialized knowledge in eating disorders and LGBTQIA+ issues, my experience spans a broad range of therapeutic concerns. These include anxiety, depression, low self-worth, women’s issues, trauma, perfectionism, faith and life transitions, and relationship challenges. My practice is built on a foundation of understanding and addressing the unique needs of each individual, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all clients
